TypingMind with Meridian

Route TypingMind through Meridian for unified billing, rate limiting, and audit logging.

Setup

  1. Open TypingMind → Settings → Model Service.
  2. Select Custom OpenAI Compatible Endpoint from the provider dropdown.
  3. Set API Base URL to https://api.meridian.sh/v1
  4. Paste your Meridian API key into the API Key field.
  5. Click Test Connection — models provisioned in your Meridian workspace will appear.

Model mapping

Meridian proxies requests to your upstream providers. Model names in TypingMind must match the Meridian model IDs exactly (e.g. gpt-4o, claude-sonnet-4-20250514). Check your workspace dashboard for the full list.

Troubleshooting

  • 401 Unauthorized — verify the API key is active and has not expired in the Meridian dashboard.
  • Model not found — ensure the model ID matches exactly; Meridian model IDs are case-sensitive.
  • Timeout — check that your upstream provider credentials are valid and the provider is reachable from Meridian.
All requests are encrypted in transit. Meridian never stores plaintext API keys for upstream providers.
