Account deletion
How we handle account removal, grace periods, and permanent data erasure.
Requesting deletion
You can request deletion of your Meridian account at any time from your dashboard settings. Once confirmed, your account enters a 14-day grace period before any data is permanently removed.
Grace period
During the 14-day window your account is marked for deletion but remains fully recoverable. You will receive a confirmation email with the exact date and time the grace period expires. If you change your mind, simply log in and click Restore account from the deletion notice — your account, license keys, and all settings return immediately with no data loss.
Cancelling deletion
To cancel a pending deletion, sign in to your account before the 14-day grace period ends. The deletion banner on your dashboard includes a one-click restore button. No support ticket is required. After restoration your account resumes normal status and the deletion request is discarded.
Permanent erasure
If the grace period expires without restoration, a scheduled cron job runs within the following 30 days and permanently wipes all residual data associated with your account. This includes:
- Email address and hashed credentials
- License keys and activation records
- Payment history and billing metadata
- Session tokens and API keys
- Any cached or derived data in our infrastructure
After the hard-delete cron completes, recovery is impossible. No backups, logs, or off-site replicas retain your information.
Active subscriptions
If you hold an active subscription at the time of deletion, it is cancelled immediately upon request — you will not be charged again. The 14-day grace period still applies to your account data. Refunds for the current billing period are handled per our refund policy.
