Recipe: Press / earnings Q&A prep writer

Generate a complete Q&A prep document from your press release or earnings summary. Anticipate analyst questions, craft tight answers, and flag sensitive topics before the call.

What it does

Paste your press release, earnings highlights, or talking-points memo. Meridian extracts key claims, identifies likely follow-up questions from analysts and journalists, and drafts concise answers with supporting data points. It also surfaces high-risk areas where a weak answer could move the stock.

Input format

  • Press release (full text or key excerpts)
  • Earnings call script or prepared remarks
  • Investor deck bullet points
  • Internal Q&A notes (optional — improves accuracy)

Output structure

  1. Topic clusters — grouped themes analysts will probe
  2. Question / answer pairs — 15–25 anticipated questions with 2–3 sentence answers
  3. Data anchors — specific metrics to cite per answer
  4. Red-flag map — topics to deflect or bridge away from
  5. Tone guide — confidence level and phrasing guardrails per cluster

Best for

IR teams, CFOs, and comms leads preparing for quarterly earnings calls, press conferences, or investor days. Works best when you provide the actual release text rather than a summary.

Pro tip: Include last quarter's transcript for continuity-aware questions. Meridian will flag any forward-guidance contradictions.
