OpenAI Responses API Status
Current support and roadmap for the OpenAI Responses API in Meridian.
/v1/chat/completions
Fully supported. All models, streaming, function calling, and vision. This is the only endpoint available today.
/v1/responses
On the roadmap. Planned support for built-in tools, web search, file search, and computer use. No ETA yet.
Why only Chat Completions?
The Responses API is still evolving. OpenAI has not stabilized the interface, and breaking changes are frequent. Meridian prioritizes reliability — we ship endpoints only when they are production-ready and unlikely to disrupt your workflows.
