Important Disclaimer
This tool is designed to assist with structure and phrasing during a difficult time. It does not replace human judgment, grief counseling, or professional support. Always review output carefully. Never include sensitive personal data you would not want processed. Meridian processes prompts ephemerally and does not retain generations.
Step 1 — Gather Details
Collect the person's full name, relationship to you, key dates, and 3–5 defining qualities or memories. Write these in a private note before opening any AI interface.
Step 2 — Set the Tone
Decide on the emotional register: warm and anecdotal, formal and reverent, or quiet and reflective. This choice shapes every sentence that follows.
Step 3 — Draft with Constraints
Use a prompt that explicitly requests: no invented facts, no exaggerated praise, no assumptions about the afterlife unless specified, and a maximum length of 400 words. Ask for three variations with different openings.
Step 4 — Human Review
Read the draft aloud. Remove anything that feels inauthentic. Share with one trusted person before finalizing. The goal is truth, not perfection.
