Traffic Source Breakdown
Identify every source driving visitors to your storefront so you can double down on what works and cut what doesn't.
Overview
Meridian tags every session with UTM parameters, referrer headers, and first-touch attribution. This recipe walks through the built-in dashboard widgets that surface organic search, paid ads, social, direct, and referral traffic in a single view.
Step 1 — Open the Sources Panel
Navigate to Analytics → Sources. The donut chart shows the current period's split. Hover any segment for exact visitor counts and conversion rate.
Step 2 — Drill into a Channel
Click a channel name beneath the chart. Meridian expands a time-series line graph comparing that channel against your store average. Use the date-picker to isolate campaign windows.
Step 3 — Export or Alert
Hit Export CSV to share with your ad buyer. Toggle the bell icon to receive a Discord notification when any channel drops below its 7-day rolling average.
Pro Tips
- •Tag every external link with ?ref= — Meridian auto-parses it as a referral source.
- •Dark social (WhatsApp, Telegram) shows as Direct. Create a shortlink with a UTM to measure it.
- •Compare source conversion rates, not just volume. A small subreddit often outperforms a large Twitter blast.
