Recipe: ICP (ideal customer profile) finder

Build a repeatable process to identify and validate your ideal customer profile using Meridian signals.

Step 1 — Define your hypothesis

Start with a clear ICP hypothesis. Industry, company size, role, pain point. Write it down before touching any tool.

Step 2 — Seed with known winners

Feed Meridian 5-10 customers who already love your product. The engine extracts common firmographic and behavioral patterns.

Step 3 — Run the lookalike expansion

Meridian scores prospects against your seed profile. Filter by confidence tier and export the top 200 accounts.

Step 4 — Validate with outbound

Run a 50-contact outreach sprint. Track reply rate and meeting conversion. Feed results back into Meridian to tighten the model.

Step 5 — Lock the profile

Once reply rate exceeds 15%, save the ICP as a named segment. Route all future leads through it automatically.

Pro tip: Re-run the lookalike expansion monthly. ICPs drift as your product matures. A profile locked six months ago may be stale.
