Recipe: SEO audit

A step-by-step workflow for auditing on-page SEO with Meridian.

1. Crawl the site

Point Meridian at your sitemap or seed URL. Let the crawler walk every page, collecting titles, meta descriptions, H1–H6 structure, canonical tags, and Open Graph markup. The crawl respects robots.txt and honours your configured politeness delay.

2. Surface issues

Meridian flags missing or duplicate title tags, descriptions that are too long or too short, multiple H1s, broken canonicals, and pages with thin content. Each issue links directly to the affected URL so you can triage fast.

3. Prioritise fixes

Sort by estimated traffic impact. Meridian pulls search-console data when connected, so you see which pages are actually earning impressions. Fix the high-traffic pages first, then work down the list.

4. Re-audit and compare

Run the audit again after your changes. Meridian shows a side-by-side diff so you can confirm every fix landed. Export a PDF report for stakeholders or attach it to your next sprint ticket.
