Recipe Vault Setup
Configure your encrypted recipe vault in under two minutes. Recipes are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and never leave your machine unsealed.
1. Create your vault
Open the Meridian dashboard and navigate to Vaults. Click New Vault, give it a name, and choose a strong passphrase. This passphrase derives the wrapping key via Argon2id — store it somewhere safe.
2. Add your first recipe
Inside your vault, hit Add Recipe. Paste the raw recipe text, attach optional tags for search, and save. Meridian encrypts the payload client-side before the write ever hits the wire.
3. Sync across devices
Install Meridian on your other machines, sign in, and unlock the vault with the same passphrase. The encrypted blob syncs automatically. Decryption happens locally — your plaintext never touches the server.
4. Share with your team
From the vault settings, generate an invite link scoped to read-only or read-write. Recipients join the vault and unlock it with the shared passphrase. Revoke access anytime.
