Logo Design Primer

Your logo is the first handshake with every user. It must be unmistakable, scalable, and anchored in the Meridian identity system.

Core Principles

  • Distinct at 16px. If the mark blurs at favicon size, simplify.
  • One concept. The logo communicates a single idea — precision, motion, or protection. Never all three.
  • No gradients in the master. Flat solids reproduce cleanly on merch, embossing, and dark mode.

Never introduce a fourth color into the primary palette.

Clearspace & Sizing

Maintain padding equal to the height of the mark on all sides. Minimum digital width: 48px. Minimum print width: 0.75 inches.

What to Avoid

  • Stretching or skewing the mark
  • Placing the logo on busy photography without a dark scrim
  • Rotating the symbol beyond its approved orientations
  • Using the logomark as a pattern or texture fill
