Material terms changes
How we notify you when things that matter change.
30-day advance email notice
If we make a material change to our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, we will email the address associated with your Meridian account at least 30 calendar days before the change takes effect. The email will summarize what changed and link to the updated document with a redline diff where feasible.
In-dashboard banner
During the 30-day notice window, a dismissible banner will appear at the top of your Meridian dashboard. The banner links directly to the updated terms and the redline comparison. It remains visible until you acknowledge it or the new terms take effect.
What counts as material
Material changes include modifications to billing terms, data processing scope, dispute resolution, arbitration clauses, limitation of liability, or any change that could reasonably affect your decision to continue using Meridian. Routine clarifications, typo fixes, and formatting updates are not material and do not trigger the notice process.
Your continued use
If you continue using Meridian after the effective date of a material change, you are accepting the updated terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date and export your data using the tools in your account settings.
Change history
We maintain a public changelog of all material terms revisions with effective dates and redline links. You can review it anytime on our terms changelog page.
